Arousal Disasters Reprint Drive

Hi Everyone,

I’ve had a fair number of people ask me where they can buy my last CD, Arousal Disasters, which was released over 2 years ago. About 1 year ago, my answer would have been “you can order it online at MapleMusic.com or in stores across Canada.”

Time passes, things change. MapleMusic.com ran out long ago and Universal didn’t ship enough quantities to stores to get returns (which means, simply, it gets tossed or put in the discount bin). I haven’t personally had any copies in almost a 18 months.

So, in an effort to remanufacture Arousal Disasters, I’ve decided to try something different. Since unfortunately, I have no capital to finance it myself, I’m putting out a call for those who are interested in helping out by pre-ordering CDs. This is what I propose (in several stages):

1) I’ve put a poll on my website to try and gauge what kind of interest there actually is. It’s basically going to ask for a return contact (how you want me to get back to you), a quantity of how many CDs you would want (theoretically) and how much you’d be willing to spend per CD (again, theoretically). To be clear, at this point there’s no obligation to buy anything.

2) if I get a response that tells me this something enough people are interested in and the cost can be covered, I’ll get back to you again with a request to place an order (either through an online secure site or a registered cheque).

3) once the money is raised, I’ll remanufacture and when the CDs are shipped I’ll send you your copy/copies (free of charge).

So if you’re interested, the online poll is at http://www.seet.ca/ad_interest_poll/. Remember, there’s not obligation at this point.
And you can check out “teasers” anywhere on the main site at http://www.seet.ca.

If anybody has any other suggestions or ideas, please feel free to contact me at info@seet.ca. I’ll probably send this message out again in a few weeks to give everyone a chance to think about it.

Thanks, as always, for your support!
Jonathan
